Tree Roots

Our Approach

EAI operates on a foundation of precision, integrity, and collaboration.

Every project is supported by well-established processes. From field data collection and GIS analysis to documentation and regulatory coordination, our processes are designed to produce consistent, repeatable outcomes.

The company’s two active mitigation banks in South Carolina serve as tangible assets, demonstrating EAI’s long-term commitment to restoration and sustainable development.

Our Team

EAI’s founder, Nick Roark, established the firm after a distinguished career with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the S.C. Wildlife and Marine Resources Department. His 35+ years of expertise in wetlands ecology, fisheries biology, and environmental regulation shaped the company’s strong technical foundation.

Today, EAI is evolving beyond a founder-led model — leveraging standardized systems, institutional knowledge, and a growing network of specialists to ensure long-term continuity. Nick continues to serve as a strategic advisor and mentor, guiding the next generation of environmental leaders while ensuring a seamless transition for future growth and acquisition.
